CTC HIV/ Aids program being our newest program has started on very well and we have started with weekly trainings for community mobilizers who will be our target group in Maai- Mahiu community and will be helping CTC in community mobilization as far as HIV/ AIDs is concerned.
CTC has opened a VCT clinic that was officially opened on 4th of September 2010. The turn ups for VCT services offered by CTC has been overwhelming. So far we have been able to test over 150 clients.
CTC in its endeavor to care for people living with HIV/ AIDs has been able to buy an ambulance due to the transportation problems that they face when going for their medication to the nearest hospital that is about 5 kilometers up the hills from Maai- Mahiu town.
We are hoping that this program will be of great benefit to the community of Maai- Mahiu where HIV/AIDs has been a great epidemic.
